Bioniq takes over Loewi

The two companies offer personalized nutrient mixtures. Loewi was a spin-off from the Technical University of Munich.
The London-based company Bioniq swallows the Munich start-up Loewi. Both companies are active in the field of nutritional supplements. It was not disclosed how much money Bioniq had to put on the table for Loewi.
Loewi is a scientific spin-off from the Technical University of Munich. To use the company's service, customers must first test their blood and fill out a questionnaire. Lowie then uses an algorithm to create a personalized nutrient mix. Customers can then take another blood test to check whether their blood count has changed. "95% of Loewi customers improve their blood values after three months and 89% say they feel better," says Philipp Merk, co-founder of Loewi. Bioniq offers a similar concept. Here, too, the company evaluates a blood test, which is then used to produce a nutrient mixture.
"Together with Bioniq, we are taking a big step towards our joint mission of establishing personalized nutritional supplements as the global industry standard," says Adrian Kapsalis, co-founder of Loewi. To date, Bioniq has mainly been active in the UK, Russia and the United Arab Emirates. It is now expanding its business area to the German-speaking regions through the acquisition.
