BISON reaches one million active users in crypto trading

The crypto trading platform BISON, an offering of the Börse Stuttgart Group, has exceeded the one million active user mark. The company is thus further expanding its position as a provider of regulated crypto trading and custody in Germany.

Growth in the regulated crypto market

BISON recorded an increase in active users of around 13% compared to the previous year. Demand for regulated access to the crypto market remained stable, particularly during periods of high market activity. On days when Bitcoin reached new all-time highs, the platform reported that it registered up to six times more new customers than on average trading days.

Focus on regulation and security

A key feature of BISON is the regulated custody of cryptocurrencies. This is carried out on a fiduciary basis by Boerse Stuttgart Digital Custody GmbH, a subsidiary of the Börse Stuttgart Group. The company is the first German crypto custodian to receive a MiCAR license from the German Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (BaFin).

In addition, BISON has ISO certification, a multi-level security system and insurance for the cryptocurrencies held in custody in cooperation with the Munich Re Group.

Offer for private investors

The platform offers private investors access to more than 50 cryptocurrencies and over 2,500 securities. Trading in cryptocurrencies is free of charge for users. BISON is currently available in 72 countries and is aimed at users who value transparent structures and ease of use.

Development since the launch

BISON was founded in 2019, at a time when cryptocurrencies were still not very widespread in Germany. Since then, the market environment has changed significantly. The platform is part of the Börse Stuttgart Group, which can look back on over 160 years of experience in the financial market and has continuously expanded its digital and crypto business.
