Blockbrain secures 17.5 million euros in Series A funding

Digital knowledge twins instead of know-how outflow. Blockbrain scales secure enterprise AI.

When experienced employees leave a company, valuable knowledge is often lost: decision-making logic, methods and established processes disappear and have to be painstakingly rebuilt. The Stuttgart-based tech scale-up Blockbrain addresses precisely this problem with an AI platform for trustworthy knowledge agents. The company has now completed a Series A financing round of 17.5 million euros.

Investor base for next growth phase

The financing round is led by Alstin Capital and the London-based technology investor 13books Capital. The HARTING Family Foundation is also participating. Existing investors Giesecke+Devrient Ventures, LBBW Ventures and Mätch VC are increasing their commitment.

Blockbrain plans to use the fresh capital to significantly accelerate product development, sales and scaling, particularly in Europe and the UK.

Rethinking knowledge management with AI agents

Blockbrain's platform enables companies to systematically digitize critical specialist knowledge and experience and make it available as so-called knowledge bots. These AI agents act as digital knowledge twins of experts and store ways of thinking, decision-making logic and methodological knowledge.

Companies lose valuable expertise every day - not due to negligence, but because knowledge and complex decision-making logic have hardly ever been systematically stored.

Antonius Gress, Co-Founder & CEO Blockbrain

Within a few weeks, such knowledge twins can be set up and used throughout the organization. The aim is to make knowledge permanently available, augmentable and automatable and thus create a calculable competitive advantage.

Market feedback and increased sales

Business development shows that the approach is in high demand: Blockbrain quintupled its turnover in 2025.

Customers include companies from knowledge-intensive and highly regulated industries, including Roland Berger, Bosch & Bosch Rexroth, Kärcher, fischer, Harting, Eberspächer, Bardehle Pagenberg, CHG Meridian, Domcura and Seifert Logistics Group.

In knowledge-intensive and highly regulated industries, expert knowledge determines quality and speed. If it is lost, there is a risk of costly productivity losses.

Benjamin Kleinschnitz, Senior Investment Manager at Alstin Capital

Axel Frey, CEO of the Seifert Logistics Group, reports weekly time savings of up to 15 percent thanks to the use of his digital knowledge twin.

Security, governance and data sovereignty

A key differentiating factor for Blockbrain is its security and governance architecture. The platform is GDPR-compliant, ISO 27001-certified and fully EU AI Act-ready.

Thanks to a multi-model architecture without dependence on individual AI providers, companies retain control over models and data at all times. If required, customer data can be stored in highly secure, regional cloud environments of the respective company.

An independent benchmark by Giesecke+Devrient confirms the security claim: Blockbrain scored 92 out of 105 points, clearly setting it apart from other enterprise AI solutions.

Expansion of engineering, product and market presence

With the Series A financing, Blockbrain is making targeted investments in the expansion of its team, particularly in forward-deployed AI engineers who support customers with the introduction, integration and operation of AI agents.

At the same time, the company is driving forward new functions, including automated replacement and fallback processes to increase response reliability as well as new agent and research workflows for automated knowledge building.
