CEO of Factory Berlin changes

Nico Gramenz joins Herofounders after four years at Factory Berlin.
Nico Gramenz is returning to his home state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern in January 2023 with the aim of developing it into a "New Business Land". The 43-year-old headed Factory Berlin for four years. Next year, he will move to Herofounders as co-founder and CEO. The network sees itself as an international innovation hub with the aim of connecting European regions and supporting their digital transformations with sustainable entrepreneurship.
"For many people, we are the No.1 vacation destination in Germany, but according to the German Start-Up Monitor 2022, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern ranks 16th among the German states as a start-up location," says Herofounders co-founder Hannes Trettin. "That's incomprehensible to me, but even more motivation to change something and actively shape it."
Nico Gramenz supports this mission with experience from the military, international business at Siemens and as an innovator at Factory Berlin. At Herofounders, his focus is now on tech and tech-driven business models. The aim is to support and accompany founders on their way. Gramenz has already built up a community with around 5,000 members at Factory Berlin.
