Christoph Röttele surprisingly quits as CEO at Check24

According to media reports, Röttele has no longer been the head of the comparison portal since last week. Founder Henrich Blase is now the managing director.
Christopf Röttele has surprisingly left the management of Check24. This is reported by Finance Forward and Finanz-Szene
. According to the report, the manager has already left the company on April 21. Röttele led the comparison portal in Munich for six years."We would like to thank Christoph Röttele for his many years of trusting cooperation and his outstanding achievements, such as the successful development of our C24 Bank," Check24 founder Henrich Blase told Finance Forward.
Röttele is leaving the company "at his own request to have more time for his family." For now, Blase will take over as CEO.A return is apparently not out of the question, Finance Forward reports. According to the report, the two founders Henrich Blase and Eckard Juls have known about Röttele's impending departure for several months. A return is neither fixed agreed, nor is it excluded. Only Röttele will certainly no longer be CEO, according to Finance Forward.
The management board now consists of the two founders, as well as Georg Heusgen and Kostas Pyliouras.Röttele became management spokesman and CEO in June 2015. Previously, he was a partner at CVC Capital Partners, one of the largest private equity firms in the world, for three years.
