Clue receives 7 million euros from existing investors

Clue raises EUR 7 million in a financing round led by Balderton Capital and Union Square Ventures. A first community investment round is planned to accelerate product development.
The Berlin-based start-up Clue has raised 7 million euros in a recent financing round. The funds will be used to scale the digital family planning offering, expand the product portfolio and continue research into closing the gender data gap.
Despite making up half of the world's population, the most common female health problems are still under-recognized, under-researched and under-treated.
Audrey Tsang, Co-CEO of Clue
Clue has developed an app to help women better understand their menstrual cycle and learn more about their reproductive health. The app offers basic period tracking features for free, while the premium subscription provides subscribers with additional evidence-based features and advanced insights. The software also offers the "Clue Conceive" mode, which guides users on their journey to conception.
Crowdinvesting
Clue plans to offer crowdinvesting through Crowdcube for the first time. The aim is to involve the community more closely in the product development process and give them the opportunity to participate in the company's future success. Clue users will have the opportunity to participate from April 18, 2023, before crowdfunding becomes generally accessible. The investment program is available to any female participant in the UK and EU.
The start-up, which focuses on women's health and family planning, currently has more than 11 million users in 190 countries. The company is focused on scaling its digital tools and expanding its product portfolio to become a comprehensive companion for everyday life. In addition, Clue will continue to work on closing the gender data gap and publishes studies on reproductive health.
An investment is therefore not only an opportunity to build a strong and sustainable company, but also to drive overdue social change.
