Cure now also delivers in Essen

The pharmacy delivery service Cure already delivers free to the door in four German cities. Now the service is also available in Essen.
Customers in Essen can now have products from a local pharmacy delivered to their homes via the GetCure app. This is the fifth city after Berlin, Hamburg, Frankfurt am Main and Munich in which the delivery service, founded in 2021, is active. This is supposed to be just the beginning: according to the company, Cure plans to expand to 15 more cities by the end of 2022.
Founders Ali El-Ali and Manuel Aberle raised €15 million as recently as September to drive expansion. They don't see themselves as competitors to pharmacies, but as partners. "Our most important goal at the moment is to digitize our partners' pharmacies and become the connecting element and the best platform for pharmacists and customers," says El-Ali.
Currently, the app offers a selection of about 3,000 products. Cure couriers then bring them to customers without a delivery fee. The products are all over-the-counter. As soon as e-prescription is introduced, prescription drugs will also be added to the range.
