Dance receives 20 million euros

Investor Triplepoint Capital has granted the start-up a loan, which it now intends to use to finance its expansion.
Berlin-based start-up Dance has received a loan of 20 million euros from investor Triplepoint Capital. The company specializes in a subscription service in the field of e-mobility. The company has now raised a total of 56 million euros through this latest financing.
Dance intends to use the new funds for its further expansion and the growth of Dance. The company wants to offer its subscriptions for e-bikes and e-mopeds in more and more cities: "We have made it our mission to make cities around the world more liveable by inspiring people to get around in a more sustainable, healthier and fun way," says Tobias Jordan, Chief Financial Officer at Dance.
The start-up also announces that it has convinced further investors. The investors include well-known names. These include Equinox co-founder Lavinia Errico, Douglas CEO Tina Müller, Supercritical founder Michelle You and Erin and Blixa Bargeld from Einstürzende Neubauten - one of Germany's best-known bands in the field of experimental music. Existing investors include global stars Will.i.am, Maisie Williams and Chance the Rapper.
Dance offers a subscription for e-bikes and electric mopeds. Maintenance is included and membership is said to be flexible. Dance is active in Berlin, Hamburg and Munich and plans to launch in Vienna and Paris in spring 2022. Soundcloud founders Eric Quidenus-Wahlforss and Alexander Ljung founded the company together with Jimdo co-founder Christian Springub.
