Delicious and Ergo Gourmet intensify their cooperation

In a pilot phase, the AI start-up and the company restaurateur have already tested a cooperation and developed a monitoring program for food waste.

One provides the food, the other the data. Munich-based AI startup Delicious Data and corporate caterer Ergo Gourmet plan to collaborate more closely in the future.

Delicious Data's software is designed to help kitchen staff with forecasts of guest traffic and the resulting menus. The start-up uses artificial intelligence to provide a constantly updated forecast for the desired menus. The menu planning is still done by the kitchen's management team and transmitted to the system.

The system then analyzes past decision-making behavior at the location and combines it with external influencing factors, such as the weather forecast or holiday and vacation times. Thus, the influences brought by a day with more than 30 degrees are taken into account, as well as a bridge day in the respective state. "We are sure that we are thus taking the next step in a constant process of resource conservation and at the same time relieving the burden on our employees," says Barret Jähn, Head of Operational Control at Ergo Gourmet.
