The Swiss startup deskbird has closed a Series B financing round of 23 million US dollars. The round is led by Octopus Ventures, with co-investments from Neva SGR (Intesa Sanpaolo Bank) and AVP, as well as investments from Alstin Capital, session and PortfoLion. The aim is to transform workplace management from a cost factor into a strategic competitive advantage for companies.

Workplaces should adapt to people - not the other way around! With deskbird, companies can eliminate empty desks, reduce unused space and create offices that employees actually want to return to

Focus on product innovation and expansion

The new funds will flow into three areas in particular:

  • AI-supported workplace intelligence: predictive models for planning space requirements, efficient use of resources and dynamic workplace design.
  • International scaling: expansion of global market presence with the aim of becoming the leading workplace management platform in Europe.
  • Enterprise integrations: Expansion of interfaces to HRIS and IT systems to create standardized, data-driven workplace intelligence.

Urgent need for solutions

deskbird is doing more than just building a product, they're reshaping how modern workplaces run.

Investors see deskbird as a key player in the future of work. According to deskbird data, 65% of companies with desk sharing lack suitable management tools. This leads to massive costs. An organization with 1,000 employees and 800 desks can lose over 5 million euros a year on unused space, the equivalent of 50 additional salaries.

Every company will need a workplace strategy as intelligent as its cloud or cybersecurity stack. deskbird delivers that with a people-first platform built for global scale.

From space management to workplace intelligence

deskbird offers more than just desk booking. Companies can use the platform to centrally manage all resources, from desks and meeting rooms to parking spaces. At the same time, real-time analyses provide data on space utilization and resource efficiency, enabling well-founded decisions to be made.

deskbird is already in use in over 10,000 offices with 250,000 users worldwide. Customers include industry giants such as Samsung, Deloitte, Philips, AON, Schaeffler and Airbus.
