Digital business card startup Spreadly acquires competitor Clinck

Spreadly has acquired long-time competitor Clinck to strengthen its position in the digital business card market. The acquisition is being made from the company's own funds, while Clinck will not be continued as a brand.
Startup Spreadly, founded in September 2022 by Darius Göttert and Florian Theimer, has announced that it will acquire competitor Clinck. Clinck, one of the first companies to launch digital business card solutions in 2013, has since built a user base of over 80,000 people.
Financing from own resources
The acquisition is 100% owned by Spreadly and will be funded from the company's own financial resources. The exact purchase price was not disclosed. The Clinck brand will not continue after the acquisition. The app and users will be acquired by Spreadly.
This acquisition marks a step towards consolidation in the digital business card market. There have been a number of players in this space in recent years, including companies such as Spreadly, Lemontaps, MyTaag, Wazzl and OneVcard. Spreadly stands out among them for its strong growth.
More and more companies are turning to digital business cards as a sustainable and efficient way to exchange contacts. Spreadly's acquisition of Clinck underscores this trend and demonstrates the increased interest in digital solutions.
Financing round planned
Spreadly's acquisition of Clinck represents a significant step and illustrates Spreadly's ambition to establish a strong position in the digital business card market. Further details on Spreadly's current funding round are expected in early September.
