Easy-Tutor raises new money

The start-up was in high demand during the coronavirus pandemic, doubling its workforce in 2020 alone. Easy-Tutor has now raised a seven-figure sum in financing.
The Munich-based edtech Easy-Tutor has raised a seven-figure sum in financing. The round was led by Bayern Kapital, the investment arm of the Free State of Bavaria. Various existing investors, who were also involved in a financing round at the beginning of 2020, are also participating.
"Thanks to the renewed support of industry-experienced investors, we can continue to expand our team, further differentiate Easy-Tutor's offering and further optimize the platform," says CEO Massimo Cancellara. The start-up helps to find tutoring for pupils online.
Last year, the edtech doubled the number of employees to 30 and over 4,000 pupils now use the platform to find tutoring in 20 subjects from the 700 tutors available. But companies are also entering into partnerships with Easy-Tutor to offer their employees' children easier access to tutoring.
