EcoG receives 16 million euros for standardization of fast charging infrastructure

The scale-up EcoG, which specializes in charging infrastructure for electric vehicles, has successfully closed a Series B financing round of 16 million euros. The round is led by the Munich-based GET Fund, together with Extantia and Bayern Kapital. The investors are focusing on the strong growth potential of charging infrastructure for commercial fleets and logistics companies.

With the new financing, EcoG plans to expand its software offering, in particular the EcoG Universal Core, which is already in use in over 25,000 charging systems worldwide. The company's goal is to increasingly set the standard for fast charging infrastructure in Europe, India and the USA. The capital will flow into both the further development of the software platform and the establishment of an innovation hub for e-trucks in Bavaria. There, new technologies such as bidirectional charging or megawatt charging will be tested under real conditions and integrated into business processes.

The early years of e-mobility have now been successfully completed. The focus is now on professionalization and sustainable growth. One example of this is the use of electric trucks in urban logistics. This is no longer a topic for the future, but increasingly a real business basis.

Local partnerships and practical hub set-up

To implement the innovation hub, EcoG is cooperating with hardware and logistics partners, including Rittal, to provide loader reference designs and enable CO₂ and cost optimization. Talks are already underway with depot operators and logistics companies to design the infrastructure in a practical way.
