Exit at FirmenABC

Founders Klaus Rebernig and Manfred Gansch have successfully exited their Salzburg-based company. Now the start-up belongs to an Austrian investor consortium.

The business directory FirmenABC by Klaus Rebernig and Manfred Gansch now belongs to an Austrian investor consortium. Invest AG, an investment company of the Raiffeisenbank Group Upper Austria and Industrieliegenschaftsverwaltung AG (ILAG) have concluded a share purchase agreement. All shares in the FirmenABC Group in Austria and Germany will thus go to them. The parties involved do not provide any information on the exact amount. The Austrian Federal Competition Authority and the German Federal Cartel Office must now approve the takeover.

FirmenABC was founded in Salzburg in 2005 and today has around 150 employees. Founders Rebernig and Gansch stepped down from their operational roles back in 2021. Georg Arnold has been CEO of the company since then.

FirmenABC offers extensive data on companies and has had media partnerships with RTL, Handelsblatt, Tagesspiegel and Wirtschaftswoche, among others. The website is a database, but also a recommendation marketing agency for small and medium-sized companies. With Beratung.de, a portal for experts in the fields of tax, law, real estate and consulting also belongs to the Group.
