Founders Klaus Rebernig and Manfred Gansch have successfully exited their Salzburg-based company. The start-up now belongs to a consortium of Austrian investors.

The business directory FirmenABC from Klaus Rebernig and Manfred Gansch now belongs to an Austrian investor consortium. Invest AG, a holding company of the Raiffeisen Banking Group Upper Austria, and Industrieliegenschaftsverwaltung AG (ILAG) have concluded a share purchase agreement. All shares in the companyABC Group in Austria and Germany will thus go to them. The parties have not disclosed the exact amount. The Austrian Federal Competition Authority and the German Federal Cartel Office still have to approve the takeover.

FirmenABC was founded in Salzburg in 2005 and currently has around 150 employees. The founders Rebernig and Gansch stepped down from their operational roles in 2021. Georg Arnold has been CEO of the company since then.

FirmenABC offers extensive data on companies and has had media partnerships with RTL, Handelsblatt, Tagesspiegel and Wirtschaftswoche, among others. The website is a database, but also a recommendation marketing agency for small and medium-sized companies. Beratung.de, a portal for experts in the fields of tax, law, real estate and consulting, is also part of the group.
