Georg Hauer moves from N26 to Hawk AI

He was Head of Germany at neobank N26 for four years, and from November Hauer will be joining Munich-based Hawk AI.

The next member of N26's management team is leaving: Georg Hauer will join the management of Hawk AI and take up the positions of COO and CFO. Hauer has been Head of Germany and responsible for Northern Europe at N26 since 2018 and will join Hawk AI in November 2021. He was already involved in a financing round for the start-up in June.

On LinkedIn, Hauer writes: "Leaving a company as remarkable as N26 is really hard, especially because many of its team members and executives have become not just colleagues but close friends" and predicts an "exciting" future for N26.

His new employer Hawk AI is dedicated to money laundering by analyzing transaction data from banks using software. Hauer sees great potential in the area of anti-money laundering, "which has seen little innovation in the last ten years - we will change that," writes Hauer. In addition to the market opportunity, Hauer was convinced by Hawk KI's excellent technology and the start-up's team.

At Hawk KI, Hauer will be responsible for expansion, marketing, communication, HR and finance.
