Georg Hauer moves from N26 to Hawk AI

For four years, he was the head of Germany at the neobank N26; from November, Hauer will be at the Munich-based Hawk AI.
In the management of N26, the next one is leaving: Georg Hauer will move to the management of Hawk AI and take the positions of COO and CFO. Since 2018, Hauer was the head of Germany and responsible for Northern Europe at N26, and he will start at Hawk AI in November 2021. Back in June, he was involved in a funding round of the startup.
On LinkedIn, Hauer writes: "Saying goodbye to such a remarkable company as N26 is really hard, especially because many of its team members and leaders have become not just colleagues but close friends" and predicts an "exciting" future for N26.
His new employer, Hawk AI, is dedicated to money laundering by using software to analyze transaction data from banks. Hauer sees great potential in the anti-money laundering space, "which has seen little innovation in the last decade - we're going to change that," Hauer writes. In addition to the market opportunity, Hauer said he was convinced by Hawk AI's excellent technology and the startup's team.
At Hawk AI, Hauer will be responsible for expansion, marketing, communications, HR and finance. Hawk co-founder Tobias Schweiger is excited about the new addition: "We are delighted to have Georg, one of the most effective fintech executives we have in the industry today, join us and is invaluable to further accelerate our growth."
