Health platform "150 Minutes" successfully secured seven-figure seed funding and launches customized offering for corporate customers to reduce health complaints in the workplace.
Berlin, October 11, 2023 - Health platform "150 Minutes" has successfully closed its seven-figure seed funding round. The round was led by Atlantic Labs and angel investor Monika Link, supported by Jag Singh (Angel Invest) and other experienced business angels with expertise in fitness, digital health and subscriptions.
The startup recommends 150 minutes of moderate exercise per week as a measure to alleviate or prevent lifestyle diseases. According to the platform, customers have reported seeing a reduction in ailments such as back, neck, shoulder and joint pain after a few weeks of regular use.
The World Health Organization recommends 150 minutes of moderate exercise per week to alleviate lifestyle diseases. Our clients have noticed a reduction in complaints such as back, neck, shoulder and joint pain after only a short period of time.
Sebastian Vogel, MD, co-founder and CEO
The platform has received recognition from various medical specialists and scientists, including PD Dr. Fabian Blanke, team physician for the German national ice hockey team, and Dr. Maria Moreno, an expert on back pain and lecturer at Humboldt University. Both are part of the company's panel of experts and contribute to the development of training concepts.
Physical and mental health are closely linked and are becoming increasingly important issues in everyday life, both private and professional.
Christophe F. Maire, Founder and Managing Partner Atlantic Labs
In addition to their platform for private customers, the startup has developed a special offer for corporate customers. Here, the focus is on typical workforce complaints in the workplace. A key difference is that the program starts with a comprehensive analysis that takes into account the desires and complaints of the entire workforce. This ensures that the program is tailored to the specific needs of different companies.
We now want to transfer our rapid success in the B2C segment to the B2B area and offer tailored packages for corporate customers. This is a real win-win situation: fitter, healthier employees are happier and more productive, and the employer benefits too
Dr.-Ing. Martin Voss, Co-Founder 150 Minutes
The program for companies aims to promote the health of the workforce and thus reduce back, neck and burnout symptoms. It points out that people who exercise regularly are less likely to be affected by depression. These health improvements can help reduce sick leave, which comes with cost savings for companies. Companies that offer the program underscore their appreciation for the health of their employees and their interest in long-term employee retention.
