Gorillas reportedly in talks with competitor about sale

The talks with Gopuff and Jokr are apparently about a merger or sale.
Mass layoffs of employees and the withdrawal from Spain - many things indicate that the pressure on the delivery service Gorillas is increasing. According to the news portal Bloomberg , Gorillas is now even said to have held exploratory talks with various competitors. According to the report, the delivery service is said to have negotiated a possible deal with rivals Gopuff and Jokr, among others. Gorillas would work with JP Morgan to explore possible options for the company.
The talks were non-binding, he said, so it was possible that no deal would be reached at all. Nevertheless, the talks would highlight the challenges startups currently face. The problem is particularly acute for express delivery services, he said. While they have won many customers with the promise of delivering food quickly, they have also had to spend a lot of money in a short period of time. Gorillas spends as much as $80 million a month, said two people familiar with the company's finances who asked not to be named.
Representatives of Gorillas, Jokr, JP Morgan and Gopuff declined to comment on the possible exploratory talks, they said.
