Gorillas apparently wants to discontinue business in Spain

The delivery service recently laid off hundreds of employees in Germany. Now the employees in Spain are also being affected.
Gorillas was previously active in the Spanish cities of Madrid, Valencia, Alicante and Barcelona. Now, according to media reports, the delivery service is to withdraw from the Spanish market. According to these reports, all business premises and warehouses are to be closed in the near future.
The Berlin-based delivery service recently announced that it would be cutting hundreds of administrative jobs. The start-up announced that it was reviewing strategic options for its business in Spain, Italy, Denmark and Belgium. This apparently means the end for the Spanish business. According to the start-up scene 300 Spanish employees will lose their jobs. Gorillas is said to have initiated legal proceedings on June 15 to review the job cuts.
Gorillas wants to focus more on Germany, France, the UK, the Netherlands and the USA in future, as these countries account for 90 percent of its business. It is still unclear whether Gorillas will now also withdraw from Italy, Denmark and Belgium.
