The start-up has developed an app that allows users to measure their carbon footprint. This convinced several investors at once.

Greentech Klima raises ten million euros for its climate protection app. The Series A round is led by Keen Venture Partners. HV Capital, Headline, 468 Capital and Adjacent are also investing in the startup. Tech entrepreneurs such as Pitch founder Christian Reber, Wooga founder Jens Begemann, Blinkist co-founder Niklas Jansen, and Tier Mobility founder Lawrence Leuschner with his Blue Impact fund are also participating in the current funding round.

Markus Gilles, Jonas Brandau and Andreas Pursian-Ehrlich have been working on their climate protection app since 2019. The app aims to make it possible for users to measure their personal carbon footprint. Users can also support certified climate protection projects with a monthly contribution to offset their emissions. The app will also provide knowledge about the climate and personalized tips on how to save emissions.

With the new funding, the company is also launching its B2B offering "Climate for Teams." The offer allows companies to make the app available to all employees. The aim is to embed more climate protection in the corporate culture, it says. "Companies play an enormously important role in the cultural change that the climate crisis requires," Gilles says of the new offering.
