Gronkh invests in Ocha-Ocha

The Youtuber founds a holding company specifically for his investment. The start-up sells tea and coffee drinks.
Youtuber Gronkh has invested in the Augsburg-based start-up Ocha-Ocha. Founded in 2017, the company sells unsweetened tea and coffee drinks for which Gronkh, whose real name is Erik Range, is now also a brand ambassador. The amount invested is still unclear.
As Youtuber Gronkh, Erik Range is one of the best-known gamers in Germany. He regularly reaches an audience of millions on both YouTube and the streaming platform Twitch, and he now wants to make Ocha-Ocha drinks appealing to them. According to him, he has founded a holding company specifically for his investment, under which an investment company called "Range Ventures" has been set up. The reason for the investment, according to Erik Range: "My biggest problem is the dependency on sugar."
Christopher Gogolin founded the start-up in 2017 after a semester abroad in Japan. It was there that he came up with the idea of sugar-free tea and coffee drinks because, according to him, they were available on every corner. Most recently, the start-up struggled to survive during the coronavirus crisis, but managed to save itself with a crowdfunding campaign in 2021. The new investment should now help the start-up to grow.
