HEY HOLY raises 5.7 million euros in oversubscribed Series A round

The Marnheim-based PetTech start-up HEY HOLY has successfully completed an oversubscribed Series A financing round and secured 5.7 million euros. The round was led by VC Five Seasons Ventures, which specializes in FoodTech. Existing investors Slingshot Ventures, Feast Ventures and a family office in the consumer segment also participated again, along with several business angels from the industry.
Breed-specific pet food as a growth driver
HEY HOLY develops nutrition concepts that are individually tailored to dog breeds and developed in close cooperation with veterinarians. The aim is to address the specific health needs of individual breeds better than with conventional food.
According to the company, over 10,000 customers already rely on HEY HOLY products. A strong 85 percent of these use the subscription model, which, according to the company, represents a record rate in the category. Customer satisfaction is also high: the brand has more than 1,000 reviews on Trustpilot with an average of 4.7 out of 5 stars.
Capital for team growth, product development and brand strengthening
HEY HOLY intends to use the new capital primarily to grow the team, expand the product range and develop the brand's digital presence. The vision remains clear: to establish breed-specific nutrition as the new standard in the pet market.
We see enormous growth potential for HEY HOLY - especially in the German pet market, which is still heavily dominated by corporations and private labels. The exceptionally high level of customer loyalty clearly shows how strong the product quality and brand already are.

Value-based brand with B-Corp certification
In addition to product development and growth, HEY HOLY also attaches great importance to sustainability and corporate culture. The start-up has been B-Corp certified since 2024 and therefore meets high social and environmental standards. The company also impresses as an employer with positive reviews on platforms such as kununu.
Strong positioning in a competitive market
In the increasingly competitive pet food market, HEY HOLY focuses on differentiation through specialization: instead of standard food, the start-up offers a scientifically based nutritional concept tailored to individual breeds. This niche is to be further expanded in the coming years and established as the new market standard in the long term.
