HiveMQ receives over nine million euros

The Landshut-based start-up raises 9.3 million euros in its seed financing round. Investors are also Earlybird and Senovo Capital Management.
This is the first round of financing for the start-up HiveMQ, which was founded in 2012: the Landshut-based company was able to raise 9.3 million euros. The round is led by venture capitalists Earlybird and Senovo Capital. Business angels Ali Kutay, Mirko Novakovic, Daniel Schellhoss and Charles Songhurst are also involved.
With the money, Hivemq plans to expand its current cloud offerings and place new products and do more marketing. It will also expand its team.
The Landshut-based startup helps companies connect their IoT devices to a cloud to securely transfer large amounts of data. HiveMQ focuses primarily on the automotive sector, and customers today include BMW and Daimler, as well as Deutsche Telekom and Siemens.
