Hololight receives 10 million euros

The Austrian tech company Hololight, a provider of XR pixel streaming solutions for AR and VR applications, has successfully completed a financing round of 10 million euros. The aim of raising capital is to scale the company's proprietary technology globally and to further expand product development and sales.
The round was led by the European growth fund Cipio Partners, which specializes in high-growth technology companies. Existing investors such as Bayern Kapital, EnBW New Ventures, Future Energy Ventures and Direttissima Growth Partners also participated again.
XR Pixel Streaming
Hololight specializes in a technology that is considered the infrastructure for the broad introduction of AR/VR applications, known as XR pixel streaming. This involves streaming applications centrally, from the cloud or from a local environment, to XR devices such as AR and VR glasses. The advantage: maximum performance and data security, regardless of the hardware on the user side.
Our goal is to make every AR/VR application available wirelessly - as easy and accessible as Netflix streams movies.
Florian Haspinger, CEO and co-founder of Hololight
With this solution, industrial XR applications in particular can be deployed more easily and cost-effectively. Companies do not have to install computationally intensive software on the end devices and can manage and scale existing applications centrally.
New product to simplify adaptation
With the new Hololight Stream Runtime product, the company is launching a further development on the market that allows any OpenXR-compatible app to be streamed with a click - without any additional development effort. This removes a key obstacle to the operational introduction of AR/VR technology.
The company already has over 150 international customers and partners, including major tech companies and OEMs. Founded in 2015, Hololight develops a streaming platform for XR applications that supports companies in the use of augmented and virtual reality solutions. The technology is based on a proprietary streaming infrastructure and is used in the industrial, energy and automotive sectors, among others.
Investors see growth leverage in industry and later in the consumer market
Hololight's unique XR pixel streaming technology opens up the broad application of AR/VR in industry - and in the future also for consumers.
Dr. Ansgar Kirchheim, Partner at Cipio Partners
The investment is primarily intended to help market the new product internationally and pave the way into new markets.
The company, which has branches in Austria, Germany and the USA, sees the further development of its platform as a key contribution to the widespread introduction of immersive technologies. By decoupling software and end devices, AR/VR applications should be more flexible, secure and scalable in the future.
The new financing round strengthens Hololight's position in the enterprise XR sector and paves the way for the next phase of scaling. The combination of product maturity, strategic partners and technological focus on performance and security makes the company one of the key players in the consolidating market for industrial XR solutions.
