Home HT takes over Zenmieter

The Berlin-based start-up is on an expansion course. In addition to acquisitions, 40 more cities are to be added to the proptech's portfolio by the end of the year.

As a digital home and rental manager, Home HT wants to enable everyone to rent out their own property regardless of location. Now the Berlin-based company has announced the acquisition of startup Zenmieter. The brand will not remain, the housing stock of the Munich-based Home HT takes over completely. The company is also expanding into seven more cities, with plans to add 40 more by the end of the year.

"Real estate as an investment is more in demand than ever and, especially in uncertain times, a stable foundation on the path to prosperity and financial independence," explains CEO Thilo Konzok. "That's why we plan to offer Home HT in 40 more cities by the end of the year. With our flat rate, no one should have to worry about managing their property anymore."

Founded in 2016 by Konzok and Moritz von Hase, the start-up is currently active in Berlin, Hamburg and Munich. Now Düsseldorf, Cologne, Dresden, Leipzig, Stuttgart, Hanover and Frankfurt will be added as locations. In 2020, the Berliners received eleven million euros from investors such as Capnamic Ventures, EQT Ventures and Redalpine. In total, 14 million euros have flowed into the start-up so far. Home HT rents the apartments from the owners and thus takes over all tasks related to renting, the start-up's earnings come from a more expensive renting than renting.
