Home HT takes over Zenmieter

The Berlin-based start-up is on course for expansion. In addition to the takeover, 40 more cities are to be added to the proptech's portfolio by the end of the year.
As a digital home and rental manager, Home HT wants to make it possible for anyone to rent out their own property regardless of location. The Berlin-based company has now announced the acquisition of the start-up Zenmieter. The brand will not be retained, but Home HT will take over the Munich-based company's entire housing portfolio. The company is also expanding into seven more cities, with a further 40 cities to be added by the end of the year.
"Real estate as a capital investment is more in demand than ever and is a stable foundation on the path to prosperity and financial independence, especially in uncertain times," explains CEO Thilo Konzok. "That's why we are planning to offer Home HT in 40 more cities by the end of the year. With our flat rate, nobody should have to worry about managing their property anymore."
Founded in 2016 by Konzok and Moritz von Hase, the start-up is currently active in Berlin, Hamburg and Munich. It is now adding Düsseldorf, Cologne, Dresden, Leipzig, Stuttgart, Hanover and Frankfurt as locations. In 2020, the Berlin-based company received eleven million euros from investors such as Capnamic Ventures, EQT Ventures and Redalpine. A total of 14 million euros has flowed into the start-up to date. Home HT rents the apartments from the owners and thus takes on all the tasks involved in renting them out; the start-up's earnings are generated by renting at a higher price than renting.
