With this acquisition, the tourism company aims to expand its portfolio of payment solutions for companies.

The travel platform HRS is taking over the German start-up Paypense. In doing so, the company intends to expand its range of payment solutions for companies. As part of the takeover, Paypense founder Christopher Hecht will become Chief Product Officer of the HRS Pay team. The other employees of the start-up are also to be taken on.

Founded in 2020, the start-up offers a credit card and expense management system for companies. The offering combines a card solution with an app that requests and provides funds for employees in real time. For finance and purchasing departments, artificial intelligence would check every transaction to ensure that employees do not violate any payment guidelines. The start-up says it has four offices and 35 employees.

"Paypense provides smart expense management services to managers and employees alike, whether they are traveling for weeks at a time or supporting a one-day off-site event that doesn't require travel," says Tobias Ragge, CEO of HRS.
