The experienced investor was thus a partner at the internationally active venture capitalist for seven years.
After seven years as a partner at HV Capital, Jasper Masemann has now announced that he will be leaving the venture capitalist. On the career portal Linkedin, he wrote that he wants to start a new chapter in venture capital in 2023.
Among other things, Masemann was responsible for setting up the Berlin office and a B2B software team. He also oversaw the fund's first investments in Israel, Spain and some Nordic countries. He focused primarily on startups in the cybersecurity and artificial intelligence (AI) sectors.
In addition to his involvement with HV Capital, Masemann has sat on the supervisory board of Israeli AI startup Verbit since 2018. In addition, he holds other positions at start-ups such as Ultimate from Helsinki and Sastrify from Cologne.

HV Capital has already invested in around 225 companies. Among them were Zalando, Delivery Hero, Flixmobility, Depop and Sumup. The company supports startups with capital between 500,000 and 50 million euros.
