Kaufland tests temperature tracker from HyPrint

The company's chips were tested for several weeks at the Neckarsulm headquarters. Kaufland wants to use the start-up's solution permanently in the future.
Kaufland tested the chips of the Heidelberg-based start-up Hyprint for several weeks. At the Neckarsulm headquarters, Kaufland's purchasing department tested the product presentation on shelves that are set up like in a store open for sales. The chips were used there. They measured temperatures in the cold rooms for weeks to make sure the cold chain was not interrupted. Kaufland donates the food that is tested in the head office and that has been refrigerated without interruption to the food bank.
In the future, the Hyprint sensors will be used permanently in the cold storage rooms of Kaufland's sample management and module hall. Nothing is known about the duration and volume of the order. Kaufland thus joins customers such as Fody's and Health Logistics, where the Hyprint chips are already in use.
The company, founded in 2020, says it sources the components for its chips almost exclusively from the region. "In highly sensitive areas, uninterrupted quality assurance is imperative," says founder Andreas Laib. "With our system, we contribute to reliably logging the required data."
