Kertos secures 4 million seed round

Munich-based startup Kertos secured a €4 million investment for its data protection and compliance automation in a new seed funding round. The round was led by Redstone/VR Ventures.

Kertos has developed a data protection and compliance product that automates operational business processes, giving it a role in the next generation of European data protection technologies. With no-code integration of systems and automated data protection workflows, Kertos bridges the gap between legal data protection requirements and their operational implementation.

The round was led by Redstone/VR Ventures of Berlin with participation from Pi Labs of London, and seed+speed Ventures of Berlin. All existing investors, including 10x Founders, xdeck and Superlyst, doubled their commitment.

With its technology, Kertos ensures that internal and external regulations are met in real time and that compliance management runs on autopilot. The program connects all data protection-related compliance operations on a single platform. It structures and manages internal company data protection processes and generates automated compliance reports. System integration is done via API interfaces, giving customers full control over compliance management at the same time.

The fresh capital will allow the startup to further develop and expand its data protection and compliance automation. The additional funds will be invested in the development of the technology platform. The company also plans to enter into new partnerships and collaborations in the coming months to expand its influence in the industry.
