AI start-up E-Bot7 sold to the USA

The competitor Liveperson buys the Munich-based start-up. The founders will continue to run their company independently.
The Munich-based provider of conversational AI E-Bot7 is being acquired by the US-based competitor Liveperson. Liveperson says it is the leading company in the field. With the acquisition, the company wants to strengthen its presence in Europe. The parties are silent about the purchase price in a joint statement. E-Bot7 is to remain operationally independent. The more than 100 employees will be taken over. The three founders Fabian Beringer, Xaver Lehmann and Maximilian Gerer will continue to lead E-Bot7.
Conversational AI is used for communication between companies and customers, among other things in the form of chatbots. These can accept complaints and solve problems in an automated manner similar to a chat with humans. "We are very excited to have the talented team at E-Bot7 join Liveperson. Together, we can advance and expand Conversational AI at the world's biggest brands," said Robert LoCascio, CEO and Founder of Liveperson.
Founded in 2016, E-Bot7 provides businesses with an easy-to-integrate AI platform. Liveperson already has more than 18,000 customers, including HSBC, Orange and GM Financial.
