KOMPAS VC closes second fund for 150 million euros

Industrial tech-focused early stage investor KOMPAS VC launches its second fund with a focus on CO₂ reduction, productivity and resilience in industry.
Copenhagen, April 23, 2025 - KOMPAS VC today announced the successful closing of its second fund with a volume of 150 million euros. The Copenhagen-based VC team led by Sebastian Peck, Talia Rafaeli and Andreas Winter-Extra remains true to its clear mission: to support founders who use technology to make industrial value creation more sustainable and resilient.
Three levers: decarbonization, efficiency, resilience
The fund focuses on solutions for industry and construction - two sectors with enormous CO₂ emissions, low productivity growth and high vulnerability to global risks. KOMPAS makes targeted investments in start-ups that are breaking new ground with the help of AI, robotics, materials science and synthetic biology.
Our industries urgently need technologies that help them to better manage risks, operate more sustainably and remain competitive.

Successful portfolio and strategic expansion
KOMPAS VC intends to use the new fund to invest in up to 25 start-ups. The portfolio already includes:
- Prewave - supply chain risk management
- Makersite - AI for product design and supply chains
- Again - CO₂-based chemical production
- Ecoworks - serial building renovation
- Findable - AI platform for building management
KOMPAS intends to use the fresh capital not only to make new investments, but also to further expand its team and strengthen operational support for the portfolio companies.
