The Munich-based start-up has completed a successful Series C financing round and raised 80 million euros. The round was led by Goldman Sachs Growth Equity and Eurazeo.

The HR start-up Malt has raised 80 million euros in a Series C financing round. In addition to existing investors such as the Isai fund and Serena Capital, Goldman Sachs with its investment arm and the investment group Eurazeo also participated. Freelancers can be found via Malt's platform and everything from order distribution to project completion is managed by the start-up's digital management system. Malt is investing the money in the further expansion of the platform and intends to develop an acquisition strategy for the European market with its investors.

"In many ways, this latest financing round underlines the strength of Malt's business model and our dedicated freelancer community," says CEO Vincent Huguet. He founded Malt in 2013 together with the current CTO Hugo Lassiège. The start-up currently has 200 employees and the platform is available in France, Spain and Germany.

"Malt is at the forefront of the future of work, promoting agility, innovation, impact and freedom of choice, and making freelancing easier and more reliable," says Alexandre Flavier, Executive Director at Goldman Sachs Growth Equity. "We are delighted to be working with the founders of Malt."
