Maria Angelidou-Smith moves from Meta to Personio
Marius Ochs | 15.11.2022She now looks after the product, design and technology functions of the Munich-based HR start-up. This also means change for the founders.
Maria Angelidou-Smith is joining Munich-based HR company Personio. In the future, she will take care of "all product, design and technology functions" in the role of Chief Product and Technology Officer (CPTO), which was created especially for her, according to the company. Previously, Angelidou-Smith was responsible for areas such as Facebook Groups, Events and Dating at Meta as VP Product and General Manager of Communities.
The hiring of the new CPTO also changes the roles of Roman Schumacher and Arseniy Vershinin, who co-founded the company in 2014. The latter will lead unspecified technology projects as chief architect. Schumacher continues to sit on the Personio board and says he will move into a conceptual role, where he will drive and implement company-wide initiatives.
Personio offers software that automates HR processes. The goal, he said, is to shift HR's focus away from administration and toward employees. Angelidou-Smith still sees enormous growth potential in this approach. "I look forward to guiding Personio through the upcoming chapter of continued rapid growth and scaling," she says.
