Marichka Baluk becomes Director of Growth at Zenjob

The marketing expert will help the start-up to raise its profile and drive forward its expansion in Europe.

Marichka Baluk has been appointed Director of Growth at the Berlin-based recruitment agency Zenjob. Baluk will help to scale the platform and further expand the customer base. She will also accelerate the European expansion.

Baluk herself would have liked to have an offer like Zenjob during her studies, she says, "I am therefore delighted to be part of such a great team and to support Zenjob, a company that is actively driving the profound change in the world of work with its technology and helping to make it more flexible." Most recently, Baluk was Director of Online Marketing at Blinkist, where she was responsible for performance marketing and growth strategy. Prior to that, she worked for software developers Magnetic One and Skelia, among others.

Fritz Trott, Cihan Aksakal and Frederik Fahning founded the Berlin-based start-up in 2015. The three have developed a digital marketplace for recruitment. Employees use the Zenjob app to find and book jobs on an hourly basis and can decide when, where and for whom they work. According to the company, it connects more than 40,000 workers with more than 2,500 companies in sectors such as logistics, e-commerce, retail and services every month.
