Marichka Baluk becomes Director of Growth at Zenjob

The marketing expert is to help the start-up become better known and drive its expansion in Europe.

Marichka Baluk becomes Director of Growth at Berlin-based recruitment agency Zenjob. Baluk is expected to help scale the platform and further expand the customer base. She is also expected to accelerate European expansion.

Baluk would have liked an offering like Zenjob while she was studying herself, she says. "So I'm very excited to be part of such a great team and to support Zenjob, a company that is actively driving the profound change in the world of work with its technology and helping to make it more flexible." Most recently, Baluk led performance marketing and growth strategy as Director of Online Marketing at Blinkist. Prior to that, she worked at software developers Magnetic One and Skelia, among others.

Fritz Trott, Cihan Aksakal and Frederik Fahning founded the Berlin-based startup in 2015. The three have developed a digital marketplace for recruitment. With the Zenjob app, workers find and book jobs on an hourly basis and can decide when, where and for whom they work. The company says it matches more than 40,000 workers with more than 2,500 companies every month in industries such as logistics, e-commerce, retail and services.
