Maschmeyer secures 20 percent stake in nipple start-up

The investor acquired a fifth of the start-up Nippli in the show "Die Höhle der Löwen" - for just 90,000 euros. The start-up is set to become the "number one Nipplecover company".
In the second episode of the current 12th season of "Die Höhle der Löwen" (DHDL), Carsten Maschmeyer was awarded a 20 percent stake in Nippli. Not only Maschmeyer, but all the lions wanted to invest in the start-up - without any negotiations. This makes founder Miriam Weilmünster's appearance an exception, as investor and Lion Ralph Dümmel also explains during the show.
Of course, the deal came about months ago when the recording for the current season of DHDL was being filmed. Back then, Maschmeyer bought around 20 percent of the start-up for just 90,000 euros, beating Judith Williams, who is considered an expert in the beauty sector, among others.
The start-up Nippli has set itself the task of becoming the "number one nipple cover company". Specifically, the founder, who has previously launched two start-ups, wants to offer a nipple cover with Nippli so that they do not leave marks on clothing. There has already been some criticism on Twitter about the idea of hiding nipples. One user wrote: "Just when you think you've seen it all, "Generation Z and a boomer" come along and invent plastic nipple covers so that OUR NIPPLES CAN'T BE SEEN. I can't believe it at all."
At the same time, the founder is currently enjoying success on social media. The criticism has apparently not deterred Maschmeyer from investing. As the founder confirmed to Gründerszene , the deal did indeed go through and they are in regular contact.
