Medkitdoc raises seven million euros

The start-up wants to help chronically ill patients with its telemedicine platform. The concept has convinced new investors.
Medkitdoc has raised seven million euros. The new investor Vorwerk Ventures led the seed financing round. Acton Capital is also a new investor, and existing investors such as Picus Capital and Flixbus founders Jochen Engert and Daniel Krauss have also invested in the health start-up once again.
Medkitdoc intends to use the capital to develop its software and expand its team. "We want to build a comprehensive remote care offering for chronically ill patients and enable 24/7 coverage with a nationwide network of doctors," says co-founder Dorian Koch to the start-up scene. The company hopes that its app can be recognized as a digital care application in the future.
The start-up, founded in 2020, is backed by a team of four. Benjamin Gutermann and Dorian Koch run the company together with Patrick Bieg and Nicolai Nieder. Medkitdoc has developed a platform for remote medical treatment. Chronically ill patients in care homes can receive advice from doctors via video chat. The care home staff are provided with medical devices such as stethoscopes, infrared thermometers and blood pressure monitors, which transmit the data to the doctors via an app. This enables treatment without the need for a doctor to visit the patient at home.
