Merxu expands into Germany

The B2B marketplace focuses on industry and trade. Now the Polish start-up is also launching in Germany.
The business online marketplace Merxu is starting its expansion into Germany. The company wants to connect market participants from different industries in order to sell goods for business needs or industrial services. According to the company, the aim is to strengthen intra-European trade, which is particularly important in the case of uncertain supply chains.
The start-up sees itself not only as an online retailer, but also emphasizes its "community character." "This means that we promote interaction between participants and offer them real added value through services and efficient processes. We are now taking off with this business model in Germany, Europe's largest economy," says co-founder and CEO Przemyslaw Budkowski. He founded the company together with Tomasz Nowak and Sebastian Pietrowski. The startup is backed by investors such as Accel, Point 9 Capital and Prosus Ventures.
The company plans to hire 50 new employees for its expansion into Germany. In addition, the platform is to be tailored to the needs of the German market.
