Midas raises 50 million US dollars in Series A
The Berlin-based fintech Midas has closed a Series A financing round of around 50 million US dollars (approx. 46 million euros). The round was led by RRE Ventures and Creandum.
Other investors include Framework Ventures, HV Capital, Ledger Cathay, Franklin Templeton and Coinbase Ventures. The current round brings the company's total capital raised to around 54 million euros.
Focus on tokenized investment solutions
Midas is developing a platform for modular on-chain investment products. The aim is to convert institutional investment strategies into regulation-compliant tokens and thus make them accessible to investors.
According to the company, these tokenized products offer transparency, instant liquidity and interoperability within DeFi protocols such as Morpho and Pendle.
Since its launch, Midas has launched more than 15 investment products and issued over €1.6 billion worth of tokenized assets. The platform now has more than 20,000 investors and has distributed proceeds of over 37 million US dollars.
New liquidity solution to solve key problem
A central component of the growth strategy is the introduction of "Midas Staked Liquidity" (MSL). This solution is intended to address a fundamental problem of many tokenized financial products: delayed redemptions.
MSL is based on a staked liquidity model that enables tokens to be redeemed immediately at any time. This eliminates the waiting times that have been common with many products to date.
For investors, this means immediate liquidity without having to sacrifice returns or the benefits of DeFi integration.
Growing demand for tokenized assets
According to Midas, the demand for tokenized assets is increasing significantly, especially in the institutional environment. At the same time, existing liquidity mechanisms often slow down integration into treasury and portfolio structures.
With MSL, the company aims to establish an open liquidity architecture that simplifies access to on-chain investments while increasing efficiency.
Investors focus on infrastructure for new capital markets
The investors involved see tokenization as a fundamental change in the financial markets.
Vic Singh, for example, emphasizes that tokenized capital markets could transform traditional financial systems in the long term. Simon Schmincke also emphasizes that Midas is well positioned, both in terms of regulation and technology, to drive this development forward.
For Marguerite de Tavernost, the strength of the platform lies in the combination of institutional security and genuine on-chain usability.
Expansion of product portfolio and partnerships
In addition to the launch of MSL, Midas plans to expand its offering to other asset classes and drive forward additional integrations with DeFi protocols. Existing partnerships are also to be further intensified.
In the long term, the company's vision is to make investments as accessible and flexible as digital services on the internet - open, interoperable and available at all times.
