Despite a failed deal at DHDL, the founders were able to convince investors.

HR start-up Aivy has successfully completed its seed round. According to Business Insider , Andreas Schmitz, former Chief Human Resources Officer of Roche Germany, and early-stage investor Matthias Helfrich, who finances companies like DriveDressy and Sirplus, participated in the round. The Business Angel Club Berlin Brandenburg and some existing investors are also providing funds to the Berliners again. This brings the total investment in the startup to around 1.5 million euros.

Instead of focusing on resumes and grades, the company aims to improve the pre-selection of job candidates by playfully assessing each applicant's skills. Employers can use Aivy to develop requirement profiles for job openings, from which the app can draw inspiration for suitable assessment games. Companies can see the results that participants achieve in the case studies. According to CEO Dyballa, over 150,000 aptitude tests have been conducted on the platform so far. This also convinced business angel Matthias Helfrich: "Since many of the applicant competencies that are important to employers today cannot be derived from grades or cover letters, in my eyes Aivy's approach is just right for targeted and also sustainably successful recruitment within the framework of modern HR policy."

Before the business expands, the four-person startup team, led by CEO Florian Dyballa, needs to build up marketing and win more customers in Germany. More than 50 companies, including start-ups such as NU-Company and medium-sized to large companies such as the assembly technology group Würth, the Nivea Group Beiersdorf, Fresenius and Bayerischer Rundfunk, have joined the career tool so far.
