Employees criticize Gostudent

The negative ratings on Trustpilot and the dissatisfaction of tutors had risen massively in recent weeks. Gostudent rejects the accusations.
The employees of Gostudent have once again sharply criticized the Austrian start-up. According to Information from the Handelsblatt they accuse their employer of violating data protection regulations, paying salaries too late and processing terminations too slowly. In addition, an employee of Gostudent allegedly threatened to trace the critics via their IP address. Gostudent denies the allegations.
For some time, employees have been criticizing the lack of agreements between the company and its employees and started a petition. The fact that new students had been accepted although too few tutors were available was also criticized. As a result, Gostudent introduced a monthly question and answer session for employees. According to the tutors, however, not much had changed in their situation. Gostudent is even said to have terminated four critics and shared their names in tutor groups. According to spokeswoman Lena van Hooven, however, this was an oversight.
Felix Ohswald and Gregor Müller founded Gostudent in 2016, and the Austrian startup offers a platform that connects tutors with students.
