Munich start-up cooperates with Interpol

IDNow develops methods to verify identities. Now the start-up announces a partnership with the international criminal police.
Munich-based identity verification provider IDNow announces a partnership with Interpol. The startup plans to run twelve-month training programs for law enforcement and immigration officials. The program is scheduled to launch in Abu Dhabi at the end of this month.
"We are very excited to work with Interpol to share our knowledge and experience in fraud prevention," said Lovro Persen, Director Document Management & Fraud at the startup. Persen has more than 24 years of experience in identity and fraud management on a national and international level, IDNow said. Fraud schemes on the Internet are increasing sharply, he said. For this reason, Persen is expected to train relevant officials at Interpol and provide insights into the latest trends and developments.
Dennis von Ferenczy, Sebastian Bärhold, Armin Bauer and Felix Haas founded IDNow in 2014. The founders offer various solutions on their platform to verify identities. The solutions range from automated to human options. The processes are intended to optimize the security of users on online platforms, they say. The company claims to have more than 900 international customers, including N26, Solarisbank and Tier Mobility.
