Neople receives 6 million euros and expands to Germany

AI startup Neople secures capital for international expansion and opens office in Berlin. Neople focuses on customer service in e-commerce with digital employees and invests in AI training center

Amsterdam, June 5, 2024 - Dutch AI startup Neople has closed a seed financing of 6 million euros. Investors include Simon Capital and Newion, as well as existing investors Peak and Curiosity. With this capital, Neople plans to expand internationally and open a second office in Berlin.

Founded in 2023, Neople develops AI employees for customer service in the e-commerce sector. The company offers digital assistants to relieve customer support teams. The focus is on reducing the workload of human employees while ensuring high-quality service. So far, over 100 leading Dutch and German e-commerce companies are using Neople's services.

Soon, AI employees with the right soft skills will automate all repetitive and time-consuming tasks exactly as instructed.

Investment plans and expansion to Germany

With the new funding, Neople is not only planning to open an office in Berlin, but also to set up an AI training center. This center will enable experienced employees to train their AI colleagues. The aim is to improve the quality of automated responses and increase efficiency in customer service.

Positive response and market potential

According to de Penning, initial feedback from German customers has been very positive. This reinforces Neople's belief that the German market is ready for their products. Jan Leicht, Partner at Simon Capital, emphasizes: "Neople has impressed us with its clear vision and rapid implementation speed." Leicht praises the technical product and the innovative use case of AI in customer service.

Since its foundation, Neople has launched over 100 digital employees and is one of the fastest growing start-ups in the Netherlands. Its customers include well-known companies such as Rituals, Holy, Kalkhoff, The Social Hub and PSV Eindhoven. The new office in Berlin is scheduled to open in September 2024. By the end of the year, Neople plans to have 200 digital employees working in various companies.

With the fresh funding and the planned expansion to Germany, Neople is taking an important step towards internationalization. The new office and training center in Berlin are intended to further accelerate growth and strengthen Neople's position in e-commerce customer support.
