The start-up, founded in 2020, has developed an app to help against smartphone addiction. The startup wants to use the funding to further develop their product.

The healthtech Not less but better (Nlbb) has received 940,000 euros in a pre-seed funding round. The capital came from Masawa Fund and various business angels. Among them are Blinkist co-founder Sebastian Klein, Tomorrow's Education co-founder Christian Rebernik, Mysugr and 9am.health co-founders Frank Westermann and Ina Schlie. Several angels from the Encourage Ventures network also participated in the round, including Myriam Kirschner, Tamara Kaes and Elena Girlich.

Nlbb was founded in 2020 by Selcuk Aciner, Christina Roitzheim and Marius Rackwitz. They have developed an app that is designed to detect problematic smartphone use and intervene in good time. In doing so, the startup aims to help users overcome their smartphone addiction. "We believe that humane technology that solves human problems is the future, and we are grateful for the opportunity to help solve one of the most pressing challenges of our time: smartphone addiction," says Nlbb co-founder Christina Roitzheim.

The beta version of the app has been on the market since March 2021, and the latest prototype is currently being tested in Germany, the US and the UK. Nlbb intends to use the funding from the financing round to further develop its product.
