OroraTech has signed a multi-million contract with the European Space Agency to provide data to the European Union as part of the Copernicus Contributing Mission (CCM).

Munich - OroraTech, the world's leading provider of thermal-based space intelligence, has signed a multi-million contract with the European Space Agency (ESA) to deliver data. Through its recently launched network of thermal sensor-based satellites, OroraTech will provide vital data for critical areas such as emergency services, climate analysis, ocean and land management.

Being selected as one of the exclusive nine companies for the CCM mission is a remarkable accomplishment for OroraTech. It underscores how valuable OroraTech's thermal data is

One week ago, OroraTech successfully deployed the next thermal sensor of a commercial satellite network in orbit. This marked the launch of its first global thermal intelligence service. Customers can now receive fire detection of bushfires within minutes as well as accurate fire perimeter information on mobile devices and desktops. In addition, OroraTech offers tasking services that cover periods in the afternoon and allow customers to monitor crisis areas on demand.

The contract with the European Space Agency (ESA) and the provision of data to the European Union cements OroraTech's position as a leader in the field of thermal-based space intelligence. Founders and start-ups now have the opportunity to benefit from OroraTech's advanced technologies and services to advance their own projects.

This is a testimonial of the agility and continuous evolution of Copernicus, the importance of onboarding commercial missions, and a vote of confidence for European Earth Observation New Space.

Back in 2021, we reported on OroraTech's first small satellites and the successful completion of the first mission. The financial development of the company is particularly exciting. In 2021, the startup raised 5.8 million euros in a Series A, while by the end of 2022 it had already raised 15 million.
