Plan3t raises 750,000 euros

The start-up convinced investors with a sustainable Payback-like app.
In a pre-seed financing round, the Hamburg-based start-up Plan3t has raised 750,000 euros. Investors include APX, Hamburgische Investitions- und Förderbank and several business angels.
According to information from t3n Plan3t now wants to work on an open banking integration for its app. Users will be able to link their personal account to the Payback app to see the carbon footprint of their transactions and make greener consumption choices.
The start-up was founded by Christian Gärtner, Lukas Wehrhahn and Kaspar Wehrhahn and has developed an app that calculates the individual annual CO2 consumption. Based on this, users get tips for a more sustainable lifestyle and can test their knowledge in quizzes. For correct answers, they then receive so-called Planet Coins, which they can exchange for vouchers from sustainable partner companies.
