The Berlin-based startup praxipal has raised 5.7 million euros in a seed round led by HV Capital. Other investors include Nebular, Anamcara Capital, HPI Ventures and Angel Invest. The company is developing the AI receptionist Luna, which relieves doctors' surgeries of the burden of communicating with patients.

AI receptionist Luna relieves the burden on medical practices

Luna answers incoming calls in a natural-sounding, human voice and resolves issues independently. This includes everything from making appointments to specialist questions. Practices can adapt the AI flexibly to their processes and integrate it seamlessly into existing practice management systems.

Luna is not a standard solution, but has been specially developed for medical practices. It makes it possible to fully process patient inquiries and alleviate staff shortages.

Daniel Woelki, Co-Founder & Managing Director praxipal

Luna is already handling over 50% of calls in participating practices, reducing waiting times for patients and freeing up medical professionals so that they can concentrate on providing on-site care.

Expansion to other specialties

Originally focused on orthodontics, Luna is now being rolled out to other medical specialties. The fresh capital will be used for the further development of the AI as well as for the expansion of the team and the expansion in Germany and Austria.

praxipal is uniquely positioned to redefine reception in medical practices with AI. The team combines deep technical expertise with a strong customer focus.

Felix Klühr, HV Capital

The Berlin-based startup was founded in 2024 and is developing Luna, an AI receptionist specifically for medical practices. The aim of praxipal is to reduce the acute staff shortage in the healthcare sector and at the same time improve patient care by automatically taking over routine tasks such as making appointments and handling calls. Luna is currently in use in Germany and Austria and is designed to help practices of all sizes to work more efficiently, conserve resources and care for patients around the clock.
