Pre-seed financing: 1.45 million euros for trail

The Munich-based startup intends to use the successful pre-seed financing round to drive forward the development of an AI governance platform. CapitalT and other investors are involved.

Munich, 11.07.2024 - The technology startup trail has successfully closed a pre-seed financing round of 1.45 million euros. This round was led by CapitalT, with participation from NP-Hard Ventures, Mozilla Ventures, Common Magic and various business angels. The fresh funds are intended to accelerate product development, expand the team and strengthen trail's market position.

Development of an AI governance copilot

trail, based in Munich, offers the most user-friendly AI governance solution for technical stakeholders. The company helps companies develop and scale AI with confidence and efficiency. trail's Copilot integrates into existing development and governance workflows and enables quality, transparency and regulatory compliance. With the fresh capital, trail plans to drive forward product development, expand the team and strengthen its market position as the leading AI governance solution in Europe. The founders Anna Spitznagel, Nikolaus Pinger and Sven Hölzel met during their studies at the Technical University of Munich and the Center for Digital Technology and Management (CDTM). They experienced the bureaucratic challenges and lack of transparency in AI projects first-hand and decided to combine trust and efficiency to found trail.
