QuantPi raises 2.5 million euros

The start-up intends to use the new capital to drive forward applications in the fields of finance, autonomous driving and health.
Saarbrücken-based startup QuantPi has raised €2.5 million in a pre-seed funding round. The round is led by Berlin-based venture capitalist Capnamic. Investors First Momentum and Ash Fontana are also participating. Ex-Instana founder and CEO Mirko Novaovic and other angels have also invested in the startup. With the new capital, QuantPi plans to expand its team and commercialize its platform.
"With our state-of-the-art Responsible AI platform, we are well on our way to realizing our vision: to enable society to live together with intelligent machines in a safe and self-determined way," says Philipp Adamidis, co-founder and CEO of QuantPi. In the past, he says, there have been repeated incidents in which AI has caused harm. These include chatbots that write racist tweets or autopilots that have caused accidents. That's where the startup comes in with its platform, which is designed to examine the risks posed by AIs. With the technology, companies can ensure that the legal, economic and ethical risks of their AIs are identified and mitigated.
