QuantPi raises 2.5 million euros

The start-up intends to use the new capital to drive forward applications in the areas of finance, autonomous driving and healthcare.
The Saarbrücken-based start-up QuantPi has raised 2.5 million euros in a pre-seed financing round. The round was led by Berlin-based venture capitalist Capnamic. Investors First Momentum and Ash Fontana are also participating. Former Instana founder and CEO Mirko Novaovic and other angels have also invested in the start-up. QuantPi plans to use the new capital to expand its team and commercialize its platform.
"With our cutting-edge Responsible AI platform, we are well on the way to realizing our vision of enabling society to live together safely and independently with intelligent machines," says Philipp Adamidis, co-founder and CEO of QuantPi. In the past, there have been repeated incidents in which AI has caused harm. These include chatbots that write racist tweets or autopilots that have caused accidents. This is where the start-up comes in with its platform, which is designed to investigate the risks of AIs. Companies can use the technology to ensure that the legal, economic and ethical risks of their AIs are identified and mitigated.
