Rainmaker Society lands six-figure deal

The company has launched a career network. Pixelnauten CEO Thomas Schirmer is among the investors.

Berlin-based startup Rainmaker Society has closed a six-figure pre-seed round. The company did not disclose exactly how much funding it received. The startup plans to use the money to further develop its career platform. It also wants to attract new customers and expand its community activities.

According to the company, the investors include a number of business angels who are management consultants, entrepreneurs and founders. The company is not yet revealing most of the names behind that description. All of them, it says, have "experienced the challenges of filling executive and junior positions themselves."

However, one investor has already committed to his Rainmaker entry: It is the managing director of Pixelnauten GmbH Thomas Schirmer. It explains the reasons for its Investment in such a way: ?The job market is long a candidate market. This is where Rainmaker Society will be able to play a real role in the future, to be a valuable career companion for its members."

Rainmaker Society is building a career network designed to connect executives and junior employees. With the platform, the startup says it aims to help professionals and executives "make their careers more purposeful, predictable and fulfilling in the long run." One of the company's founders is Dirk Schuran: He had previously worked at the Financial Times Deutschland, the Axel Springer publishing house and the business-to-business marketplace Comatch. The second founder is Sven Galander, who had previously worked at BMW, Volkswagen and Roland Berger. The two had once met at university.

The company says it has more than 500 members so far and helps some companies find employees. Customers include Art Night/Realtainment, Orderchamp, Shyftplan, Wingtra and Equippo, the EnBW subsidiary Senec, TUI, the Hasso Plattner Institute and the fintech Nets.
